Segment cement bond logging tool is applied to measure the quality of cement bonding around a cased hole both in vertical and horizontal directions, showing the cement bonding quality at casing-to-cement interface(the first interface) in a grey level plot, and evaluating the cement bonding quality at cement to formation interface(the second interface).

The tool consists of a cartridge and a sonde,  the cartridge is connected to the top of the sonde through a pressure-bearing connector.

The transducer array composited of short spaced, 8 transmitters 8 receivers or 1 transmitter 8 receivers transducers, is used to measure the acoustic amplitude for total eightsegments of 45°each around the cased hole, providing a standard 3’sonic amplitude and a 5’full wave measurement.

Wear resistant bellows of small size are applied in design, that havebetter sound insulation, and wide applications.

With well temperature sensor on sonde, well temperature parameters will be provided simultaneously.

Displayed in grey-scale plot, cement bonding status at casing-to-cement interface( the first interface) will be shown obviously, to estimate correctly the channeling, the size, position and  distribution of the cement for the first interface, and also can to estimate the cement bond status for the second interface(.cement to formation interface)

The height of the cement filled can be exactly evaluated.

Be suitable for the evaluation of the cement bonding quality for the new and old wells.
